Saint Aubin 1er cru Les Champlots
Region
Appellation: 1er cru of the Côte de Beaune, in the Côte D’Or
Location
At the heart of the Côte des Blancs, between Chassagne and Puligny, right next to Montrachet, Saint-Aubin is a wine-producing village in the south of the Côte de Beaune. The hamlet of Gamay may be where the name of the grape variety comes from. Rooted in the rock, its 13th-century fortress is reminiscent of the sap that rises under the bark of time. The Appellation has been recognised since 1937. The name of the village can also be accompanied by the mention Côte de Beaune (red) or become Côte de Beaune-Villages.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WINE
A golden hue with green highlights. Young, it presents a combination of white flower, flint, green almond and orange blossom notes. With age, it develops rich notes of beeswax and honey, almond paste, amber, cinnamon. It is a firm, tender wine, a little sharp when young, then becoming full-bodied and complete, of great nobility.
